Seminar: Genesis

Students ready for class

Genesis examines the Old Testament book of the same name. Genesis explains the beginnings and origins of time, space, and various groups of people. Genesis explains the Creation of the world and all reality by the Living God. Also explained are the origins of sin and the Jewish people. This is a two part seminar, Genesis I and Genesis II. Seminars cost $50. Student taking this class will:

  • Identify the author of Genesis
  • Identify the context in which Genesis was written
  • Understand the origins of the Jewish people
  • Learn the applications of Genesis for the Christian Church

God's Choice in History

God's choice drives the stories of Genesis. Some believe that God always chooses a person of favorable qualities. Why did God choose:

  • Abraham?
  • Isaac?
  • Ishmael?
  • Jacob?
  • Joseph?
