The Pastoral Epistles are three books written by the Apostle Paul in the New Testament. The Epistles include 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, and Titus. Timothy served as pastor to the church in Ephesus, and Titus served as the pastor in Crete. This course will examine the encouragement to church leadership and the qualifications established by scripture. Student taking this class will:
- Identify the theology contained in the letters
- Define qualifications for church leadership
- Understand the qualifications as listed by Paul
- Determine practical application of the letters today
